Achieved his fifth PGA Tour victory at the 2021 Sony Open in Hawaii, where a third-round 61 helped him to a one-stroke success, and qualified for The Open at Royal St George’s as one of the world’s top 50 following the PGA Championship in May.

Na's place at St Andrews was secure once he qualified for the season-ending Tour Championship last September and he then shot the joint-best score there to add to runner-up finishes in the John Deere Classic and Wyndham Championship. 

Na's family emigrated from South Korea to the United States when he was eight years old. At 17 he decided to turn professional and a year later, just after his 19th birthday and, by then an American citizen, he became the Asian Tour's youngest-ever winner when he captured the Volvo Masters of Asia in Malaysia.

His dream of a PGA Tour win came true in the 2011 Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, but it was seven years before he triumphed again, storming to a five-stroke victory in A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier.

The following season he added two more victories. He won the Charles Schwab Challenge by four at Colonial and, following three earlier sudden-death defeats, he beat Patrick Cantlay in a play-off for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, where he followed a second-round 62 with a 61.

His best major finish is seventh in the 2016 U.S. Open.
