Families at The Open
Children aged 16 and under receive free entry to The Open Championship. In addition to free entry, The 144th Open will see the largest selection of family activities and facilities to ever be provided at the Championship.
Children Soft Play Area
For the first time parents will be able to take younger children to the soft play area. Here they can enjoy playing EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR on the Xbox One, building giant Jenga, running over the rope bridge or sliding into one of the ball pits.
The Links Challenge
This year see another first at The Open with the introduction of the Links Putting Challenge providing both parents and children the opportunity to test themselves on miniature versions of famous holes from Open venues. These include the 6th hole The Maiden from Royal St Georges and the famous 14th hole Calamity from Royal Portrush.
HSBC Golf Zone
Back for the fifth year in a row is the hugely popular HSBC Golf Zone that gives all spectators the opportunity to test out their golf skills and the chance to win a host of daily prizes.
The Open Swingzone
A team of expert PGA Professionals provide free golf lessons all week at The Open Swingzone. Come along early and book a time to avoid disappointment. All of these facilities and activities can be found in the Spectator Village along with baby changing and food warming services.
