Our main catering village will house a traditional fish and chip shop, gourmet burger bar, wood fired pizzeria, a handmade sausage roll shop, The Sandwich Shop and The Open Arms. In addition to the main village, on course you will find a number of hot and cold food outlets as well as coffee and ice cream and refreshment bars.
In The Sandwich Shop, we’ll be making our sandwiches fresh each day. You can also grab a great cup of coffee that is 100% fairtrade.
Across our range of catering outlets at The Open, we aim to offer a menu that celebrates the best of British. We celebrate the provenance of our ingredients and work with local suppliers where possible. The haddock for our fish and chips comes from sustainable MSC certified sources. We’ve developed a signature bacon roll with treacle cured bacon that is sourced from a butcher in the North West. The beef for our burger is sourced from farms in the North West.

The Open Shop will feature a range of headwear and apparel, outerwear, children’s clothing, luggage, homeware, leather goods and golf accessories.
Select products such as caps, bag tags, luggage and accessories can be personalised on the day with your name, nickname or initials.
After purchasing your shopping leave your bags at The Shop and collect them at the end of the day on your way home.

There will be thousands of public seats located around the course including at the 18th green and at the Practice Ground, all free of charge to spectators. There are also a limited number of seats at the 18th green available for purchase in advance.
Take a break from the course and spend some time at the Spectator Village at Royal Birkdale. With a number of food and beverage offers, dedicated kids play area, and giant TV screens, there is no need to miss any of the golf.

A team of expert PGA Professionals provide free golf lessons to spectators all week at the popular Swingzone. Come along early and book a time to avoid disappointment.
