"Lytham is one of the most interesting Open Championships. The only one you can't see the sea from. You're very much enclosed, yet you are playing an awesome links course. You are in a little Oasis when you are out there.
The bunkers are very difficult, if you hit any of those you're chipping back onto the fairway.
It is a fantastic venue with a great atmosphere. When you put 40 thousand people in there, because it's so enclosed, the noise really does reverberate around the golf course."
