“It was fun playing with Phil and Duf. It was probably the most relaxed atmosphere I’ve ever had at a Major, maybe even in a tournament,” Keegan Bradley on playing with a couple of familiar faces.
“I think I’ve maybe used up all my luck the last couple of weeks. This week it’s been sort of hard going for me. I’ve played well and not got the most out of how I feel like I’ve played,” Justin Rose on trying to win a third successive tournament.
“When you walk six miles a day you’re in good nick. People forget that. I’ve walked 36 miles this week. That keeps you in pretty darn good shape,” 64-year-old Tom Watson on keeping fit.
“Made a lot of mistakes. I’ve made two doubles and two triples, but on top of that I missed a lot of shots for opportunities for birdies and consequently I’m three-over-par,” Tiger Woods on his performance this week.
“If I could’ve steadied the ship and shot a couple under on Thursday I could’ve been there or thereabouts. There’s no doubt I’m ruing Thursday,” Graeme McDowell after rounds of 69 and 68.
“I think it’s the second best decision the R&A made this year. The first being bringing The Open back to Portrush,” Rory McIlroy on the two-tee start.
