Is back now thanks to his 28th place finish on last season’s DP World Tour Rankings, a third place in May’s Betfred British Masters at The Belfry being followed by back-to-back runner-up finishes in the Cazoo Open at Celtic Manor - he finished four behind Callum Shinkwin there – and then the ISPS Handa World Invitational at Galgorm Castle, where Ewen Ferguson won by three.

Syme won the 2016 Australian Amateur Championship, was a semi-finalist in the 2014 Amateur Championship at the age of 18 and part of Scotland’s winning sides in the 2015 and 2016 European Team Championships.

Came second to Mikko Korhonen in the 2018 Shot Clock Masters on the DP World Tour. The event broke new ground on the circuit by introducing a clock where players received a one-stroke penalty for going over the allowed time.
