The Open Qualifying Series Singapore

The SMBC Singapore Open at the Serapong Course will once again play host to a field headlined 2017 Masters champion Sergio Garcia. The tournament is the first Open Qualifying Series event to take place in the 2019 calendar year representing 7 months to the Championship.

Four places for The 148th Open at Royal Portrush are up for grabs with seven players in the field exempt pre-event. Players already exempt are: Paul Casey, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Sergio Garcia, Shugo Imahira, Yuki Inamori, Shaun Norris and Dimitrios Papadatos.

Since the first Singapore Open in 1961 a host of big names have tasted victory including Adam Scott, Angel Cabrera and Ian Poulter with Garcia taking home the trophy in 2018. In 2019 Jazz Janewattananond took home the trophy and earned himself a spot at The Open via The Open Qualifying Series Singapore for a second successive year. Yoshinori Fujimoto, Prom Meesawat and Doyeob Mun will all join Janewattananond at Royal Portrush in July.
