The Open Qualifying Series provides the opportunity for players to realise their dream of playing in golf's original Championship.

Places in The 150th Open are available in 16 professional events in 11 countries that make up The Open Qualifying Series in 2022.

Twelve players have already booked their places at the Joburg OpenSMBC Singapore OpenThe Vic Open and The Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard. The next stops in the Series are the Mizuno Open and the Dutch Open, which offer four and three spots respectively in The 150th Open.

A minimum of 46 places in The Open are available through the Series, which provides golfers with opportunities to qualify at events around the world on the PGA TOUR, DP World Tour, PGA Tour of Australasia, Asian Tour, Korean Tour, Japan Golf Tour and Sunshine Tour.

Joburg Open / Lawrence, Lombard and Chesters book their spots in The 150th Open as The Open Qualifying Series begins

Professional and amateur players will also be able to reach The Open via Regional and Final Qualifying, on Monday 20 June and Tuesday 28 June respectively.

Regional Qualifying is contested over 18 holes at 13 venues across Great Britain and Ireland, with spots available into Final Qualifying. The venues for 2022 are Alwoodley, Berwick-upon-Tweed (Goswick), Burhill, Caldy, County Louth, Fairhaven, Frilford Heath, Kedleston Park, Minchinhampton, Moor Park, Northamptonshire County, Panmure and Rochester & Cobham Park.

Successful Regional Qualifiers will join exempt amateurs and professionals at four Final Qualifying venues - Fairmont St Andrews, Hollinwell, Prince's and St Annes Old Links - on Tuesday 28 June, with the leading players after 36 holes earning a spot into The 150th Open.

Twelve players progressed through Final Qualifying in 2021, with five of those men - Daniel Croft, Sam Forgan, Ben Hutchinson, Nicholas Poppleton and Connor Worsdall - having already come through Regional Qualifying.
