FACILITIES FOR THE DISABLED
The R&A endeavours to provide a standard of accessible facilities for visitors and spectators with disability, including those using a wheelchair.
Access to the Tented Village and to the 18th green is available to wheelchair users as it is across relatively level ground. An area is reserved for wheelchair users at the 18th green and is operated strictly on a first come, first serve basis. This facility will be popular, particularly on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July when large crowds are expected. As space is limited, access for accompanying carers will also be restricted.
Some areas on the golf course are unsuitable for many spectators, particularly those in wheelchairs, with rough and sloping ground which can become soft and slippery in wet conditions. However, a number of areas on the golf course are more suitable than others for wheelchair users, with a central tarmac path crossing specific points on the course, including the 4th Green, 12th Green, 13th Tee, 17th Green, and 18th hole. Marshals have been requested to assist in asking spectators to allow wheelchair users to access the front of the rope line where possible.
Wheelchair-accessible toilets will be provided in the Tented Village, to the right of the 1st hole, to the right of the 4th green and to the left of the practice ground. The majority of catering facilities, merchandise tents and spectator experience areas will be accessible for wheelchair users.
Information regarding Disabled parking can be found here.
If you have limited mobility and would like further information concerning provision for wheelchair users, please call The R&A Ticket Office (01334 460000).
SAFETY
Please be reminded that under wet conditions the ground may become slippery and appropriate footwear should be worn. Observe the instructions of marshals at all times when on-course and on grandstands.
MEDICAL AND FIRST AID
Full medical and first aid facilities will be available at several points around the course and in the Tented Village.
NO STEP LADDERS
Step ladders or similar are not permitted within the paygates.

Pets are not permitted within the paygates and we respectfully suggest that you do not leave your pet in the car.
INFORMATION CENTRE
Situated within the Tented Village, the Information Centre can offer assistance with travel and general enquiries, including information about The Open 2014 at Royal Liverpool.
LEFT LUGGAGE FACILITIES
There will be several complimentary left luggage facilities located throughout the Tented Village, operated on a first come, first served basis. Please note that security bag searches may be in operation. No valuable, or computer equipment will be accepted. The R&A accept no liability and items are left at the owners risk.

There are many licensed catering points both on course and within the Tented Village.
