International Final Qualifying

International Final Qualifying (IFQ) events for The Open Championship were introduced in 2004 and are held on five continents to give more players from around the world the chance to gain direct entry into golf’s oldest championship.

IFQ events for The Open Championship 2012 at Royal Lytham & St Annes will be as follows:

IFQ — Australasia: 10 & 11 January 2012, Kingston Heath Golf Club, Melbourne, Australia
IFQ — Africa: 18 & 19 January 2012, Royal Johannesburg & Kensington, South Africa
IFQ — Asia: 1 & 2 March 2012, Amata Spring Country Club, Bangkok , Thailand
IFQ — America: 21 May 2012, Gleneagles Country Club, Plano, Texas, USA
IFQ — Europe: 25 June 2012, Sunningdale Golf Club, Berkshire, England

Regional Qualifying

Regional Qualifying for the Open Championship 2012 will be played on 25 June 2012 at 14 clubs: Abridge, Berwick-upon-Tweed (Goswick), Bruntsfield Links, Buckinghamshire, Clitheroe, Coventry, East Sussex National, Ferndown, Hankley Common, Lindrick, Mere, Moortown, Royal Dublin and The London.

Local Final Qualifying

Local Final Qualifying for the Open Championship 2012 will be played on 03 July 2012 at Hillside, Southport & Ainsdale, St Annes Old Links and West Lancashire.
