The Open Qualifying Series

The Open Qualifying Series

The Open Qualifying Series is being introduced for next year’s Open Championship at Royal Liverpool, Hoylake, which takes place from 17-20 July. The first event in the Qualifying Series will be the Emirates Australian Open on the Australasian Tour, from 28 November to 1 December, 2013. The series will include three events on the PGA Tour in the three weeks ahead of The Open in June and July 2014: the AT&T National and the Greenbrier Classic, where four places in The Open will be available, and the John Deere Classic, where one player will qualify.

On the European Tour, three spots will be available at each of the Alstom Open de France, the Irish Open and the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open in the same period prior to The Open.
Four spots will be available at the Mizuno Open on the Japan Golf Tour and at an Asian Qualifying event in the early part of the year.

Final Qualifying

Final Qualifying
Final Qualifying for The Open Championship 2014 will be played on 1 July 2014 at Gailes Links, Hillside, Royal Cinque Ports and Woburn. There are three qualifying places available into the 2014 Open from each event.

Regional Qualifying

Regional Qualifying
Regional Qualifying for The Open Championship 2014 will be played on 23 June 2014. Venues: Bruntsfield Links, Buckinghamshire, Clitheroe, East Sussex National, Hankley Common, Little Aston, Luffenham Heath, Mere, Moortown, Northumberland, Remedy Oak, The Island and The London.
