Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard

Daniel Berger has qualified for The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale through the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard.

The American was tied for first place after 72 holes with the already exempt Akshay Bhatia on 15-under-par and so Berger secured his place at Royal Birkdale.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational is a key part of the Open Qualifying Series, offering places into golf's original Championship.

A staple on the Open Qualifying Series, the Arnold Palmer Invitational was first staged in 1979 and some of golf’s biggest names have triumphed at Bay Hill including Champion Golfers Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson.
