Hundreds of thousands of fans of all ages will descend on Royal Birkdale this week to witness The 154th Open play out.
Whether you are a seasoned veteran of spectating at golf’s original championship or attending for the first time, there are no shortage of new and returning activations across the practice and championship days.
Sunday 12 July
The Spectator Village is the place to be for those looking to hone their skills. One-to-one PGA pro lessons are available in the Swing Zone while prizes are on offer for masters of the short game in Long Putt.
Those looking for a more serene Sunday can sit back, soak up the sunshine and watch the Genesis Scottish Open, Evian Championship and the Wimbledon men’s singles final on the big screens.

Monday 13 July
It is worth pitching up early on Monday as the inaugural Last Chance Qualifier takes place.
Twelve players, in four groups of three, will battle it out for the final remaining spot in the draw for The 154th Open – details of which will follow later in the day.
Live At The Range begins broadcasting on Monday, while Building The Open in the Mastercard Club will reveal more about what goes on behind the scenes.
The Mastercard Club will also host a signing session with Billy Horschel, while Dame Laura Davies drops in for a Champions of Birkdale talk-in.

Tuesday 14 July
The Heroes Classic is the centrepiece of Tuesday’s action, with an all-star cast of top stars – including reigning Champion Scottie Scheffler – teeing off from 4.15pm.
Fans are encouraged to get to the 1st tee for 4pm to see the return of the Claret Jug.
Open Radio coverage begins from 1pm, with Live At The Range broadcasting both morning (9am-12pm) and afternoon (2pm-6pm) sessions.
The Mastercard Club welcomes more big names, with Bryan Habana and Brendan Lawlor taking part in a Heroes Classic Panel at 10am, Fannie Sunesson dropping in for Caddie Confidential at 1.15pm and the Last Chance Qualifier winner on stage from 3pm.

Wednesday 15 July
The final practice day sees anticipation reach fever pitch ahead and European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald will be on hand to offer his expert analysis, joining Golf Digest editor Luke Kerr-Dineen for The Preview Show in the Mastercard Club at 2.30pm.
Cameron Young (10.30am) and Shane Lowry (1.30pm) will take part in signing sessions in the same location, while you can also analyse your fantasy team with our special Fantasy Picks event.
The SwingZone and SkillZone remain in place in the Sustainability Hub while fans of all ages can enjoy the Doosan Digger Putt in the Spectator Village.

Thursday 16 July
The action begins and fans on site can follow all the drama through The Open Radio, the live screens around the course and the dedicated Player Focus channel, following star names as they compete for the Claret Jug.
The activities, such as SwingZone and Long Putt challenge, remain in place on championship days while Ian Baker-Finch, who claimed the Claret Jug in 1991, drops in for a special Champions of Birkdale event in the Mastercard Club at 1.15pm.

Friday 17 July
Five-time Champion Golfer of the Year Tom Watson will be offering his insight in the Mastercard Club from 1.15pm.
Out on the course, the leaderboard will be taking shape and the scramble to avoid the cut will make for compelling viewing and listening, via a combination of the big screens, Live At The Range and Open Radio.

Saturday 18 July
Moving Day will see the world’s top players battle it out to give themselves the best possible chance heading into championship Sunday.
Pick your favourite and follow them both on course and via the Player Focus channel.
Elsewhere, the Mastercard Club stages a One Club coaching session with Alex Elliott, a Building The Open panel and a Women In Golf discussion.

Sunday 19 July
The Champion Golfer of the Year will be crowned and spectators will flood the fairways to witness every twist and turn.
The big screens and Open Radio will help fans stay locked in to the action while those needing a break from the tension can visit the Mastercard Club, where the always entertaining Billy Foster will be on stage for Caddie Confidential from 1.15pm.
With the daily coaching sessions, games and prizes also still very much ongoing, the closing Sunday will be one to savour.
