The Ticket Ballot has now closed.

Thank you to everyone who applied for tickets to The 155th Open at St Andrews.

The Ticket Ballot is now closed and applications are being processed. Results will be released in waves throughout August and September 2026.

If you don't hear in the first wave of results, there's still every chance you could be successful in a later release. All applicants will receive a final outcome by the end of September, whether their application has been fully successful, partially successful or unsuccessful.

What happens next?

• Ballot results will be released in waves throughout August and September 2026.

• If your application is successful, you'll receive an email inviting you to purchase your allocated tickets.

• If you aren't successful in an early wave, your application remains in the ballot for consideration in subsequent releases.

• Every applicant will receive their final outcome by the end of September 2026.

Making payment

Successful applicants will receive an email explaining how to complete their purchase and confirming their payment deadline.

Each payment window will be up to seven days. If payment is not received before the deadline, the ticket allocation will be forfeited and returned to future ballot waves.

Once payment has been completed, you'll receive a confirmation email.

All tickets for The Open are digital and will be available to download closer to the Championship in July 2027.

Please note that tickets are non-refundable after 24 hours of purchase.

Accessibility

The Open is committed to providing an enjoyable experience for all spectators.

Fans requiring the assistance of a carer may apply for one complimentary Carer ticket as part of their Ticket Ballot application, within the four-ticket daily limit.

Following a successful application, supporting evidence will be requested by email.
