The HSBC Golf Zone will yet again offer fun activities for all the family, suitable for all golfing abilities and is free of charge to all spectators. HSBC Premier Customers can take advantage of complementary refreshments and snacks in the HBSC Premier Lounge. TV screens will show live golf so it’s a place to relax and shelter from the elements! HSBC also offer a full service bank at The Open, located in the Spectator Village.
The HSBC Golf Zone is a not-to-be missed Open experience. All spectators can visit for free - there are so many activities to participate in and great prizes up for grabs. Here you will discover golf simulators, a photo experience and an area designed to improve your putting! No matter your golfing ability, the HSBC Golf Zone offers something for everyone, with daily visits from HSBC ambassadors Tim Henman and Brian O'Driscoll. Come along and test your golf skills, or even pick up a club for the first time.

The HSBC Family Challenge provides children and their families with the unique opportunity to try the game of golf for free and win some prizes along the way! Sessions will involve fun games and activities for all the family to enjoy and will culminate with a challenge!
The Golf Foundation's 'Skills for Life' concept has been successfully delivered through community activity in schools, clubs and HSBC Golf Roots Centres in the UK, in a bid to give young people the opportunity to experience the benefits that golf has to offer. The programme's goal is to ensure that over 50,000 young people progress through the doors of a golf club each year and that 15,000 become regular players.
