Victory in the BMW International Open in Germany on June 24 made him one of the four players to earn a Carnoustie start off the European Tour rankings the same day.
Maiden victory on the circuit came at the 2017 Portuguese Open in what was only his fourth event at that level – he did not even have full membership at the time.
He then defeated compatriot Andrew “Beef” Johnston in a play-off for the Hero Indian Open and in September captured the Made in Denmark title as well, also in sudden death after he had tied with Lee Westwood, Steven Brown and Jonathan Thomson.
Turned professional in 2012 and on the Alps mini-tour registered an incredible five successive wins and six in all in 2016. Tied for 19th on his first appearance at the PGA Championship in August 2018.
