Experience Royal Portrush in style with new hospitality experiences

Three new hospitality experiences for The 148th Open at Royal Portrush are now on sale to fans who want to enjoy the historic occasion from the luxurious surroundings of the Championship’s official hospitality.

The Open is making a return to Northern Ireland for the first time in almost 70 years and around 190,000 spectators will descend on the beautiful Causeway Coast for a true festival of golf for what will be the biggest sporting event ever to be held on the island of Ireland.

The Dunluce Pavilion and Faulkner’s Place will provide guests with unrivalled views of the 1sthole at Royal Portrush and over 10 hours of world-class cuisine and entertainment.

Guests attending The Ultimate Open Experience will receive exclusive behind the scenes access during the Championship and views of the greens on the 13th and 17th holes at the famous Dunluce Links.

Demand from individuals and groups for hospitality experiences at The 148th Open has been high leading to current packages being almost sold out. Spectators wishing to purchase or express an interest in booking the new packages going on sale are advised to act quickly to avoid disappointment.

Johnnie Cole-Hamilton, Executive Director – Championships at The R&A, said, “We have received unprecedented demand from fans and businesses wanting to purchase our hospitality experiences for Royal Portrush and we are delighted to have virtually sold out of these packages.

“We are excited to be able to offer spectators three new hospitality experiences which will provide guests with a truly outstanding experience of attending one of the world’s leading sporting events as they watch golf’s greatest names compete for the famous Claret Jug.”

Proceeds from The Open will be used to fund The R&A’s activities in golf development, governance of the sport and staging of world class amateur events as part of its commitment to invest £200m over the next ten years to grow and develop the sport around the world.

This includes initiatives to increase participation in golf by people of all ages and abilities, including women, juniors and families, and investment in playing facilities and equipment, coaching programmes, golf events and projects to promote the health benefits of the sport.
