Leicester-born Frazer Jones will be aiming to earn his place at The 154th Open through the inaugural Last-Chance Qualifier.
In 2025 he qualified for The 153rd Open and made his Championship debut after coming through 36-hole Final Qualifying.
With his father acting as his caddie at Burnham & Berrow in Somerset, rounds of 69 and 66 – the second of them containing four successive birdies – were enough to secure his spot.
He narrowly missed out on qualifying for Royal Birkdale via the same route, at the same venue, this year, finishing on six-under and one stroke behind the five qualifiers.
Jones was also part of the England Boys squad in 2023 – the year after he captured the Midlands boys title – and collected five out of six points in the home internationals.
