Johnny Keefer

Johnny Keefer will make his Open debut at Royal Birkdale after qualifying courtesy of his performance at the Genesis Scottish Open.

The American finished in third place at The Renaissance Club in East Lothian, and gained his Open spot as one of the three highest placed players not already exempt for the Championship.

Keefer won twice on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2025, at the Veritex Bank Championship and NV5 Invitational. His first professional victory came at the CentrePort Canada Rail Park Manitoba Open in 2024, the year he joined the paid ranks.

He has managed two top-ten results on The PGA TOUR this year, a T9 at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson in May and an impressive T3 finish at the Texas Children’s Houston Open in March.
