Matt Moloney

A student at the University of Georgia, Matt Moloney came within a whisker of winning The Amateur Championship at Royal Liverpool in June.

The 20-year-old faced Stuart Grehan in the final, and despite rallying from being three-down with three holes left, he couldn’t overturn the deficit and went on to lose by one hole.

Moloney was a member of the 2022 Junior President's Cup team, helping lead the U.S. to a 13-11 win, and also won the Sung Hyun Park Junior Championship and The Dye Junior Championship in the same year.

Moloney’s other notable finishes include T9 at the Linger Longer Invitational in March 2025 and T7 at the Southeastern Amateur in July 2024.
