Nevill Ruiter

Nevill Ruiter is all set to make his debut at The 154th Open after securing one of the five qualifying spots at Dundonald Links during Final Qualifying.

The Dutch amateur, ranked 182nd in the World Amateur Golf Rankings prior to Final Qualifying, produced a composed bogey-free second round of 70 to add to his 71 to secure a T4 finish and a place at Royal Birkdale.

Ruiter, a College of Charleston student, won his first career tournament at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate in November 2021 and also won the Giles-Sprately Collegiate individual title in 2026.

The 24-year-old also has experience at DP World Tour level and was the only amateur to make the cut at the 2026 KLM Open.
