Played in The Walker Cup at Royal County Down in 2007 and in 2011 was poised to top the PGA Tour money list until Luke Donald captured the final event.
Then came three wins with Bubba Watson on his Presidents Cup debut and he had two more alongside him on his Ryder Cup debut in 2012.
Was a wildcard selection for the 2014 match at Gleneagles, halving his singles against Ian Poulter, and returned to the side in September 2018 in Paris, winning again with Watson and beating Justin Rose in the singles.
