See how the Australian Open unfolded at Royal Melbourne
Adam Scott is set to make his 26th consecutive appearance at The Open after securing one of the three spots on offer at the Crown Australian Open.
The 45-year-old finished fifth in the Open Qualifying Series event at Royal Melbourne which was enough to book a place at Royal Birkdale next July.
Scott – runner-up at Royal Lytham & St Annes in 2012 – hasn’t missed The Open since making his debut at St Andrews in 2000.
South Africa’s Michael Hollick will make his Championship bow after finishing fourth – one stroke ahead of Scott – in Melbourne.
Meanwhile, Si Woo Kim will return to the site of his Open debut in 2017 after finishing third at the Australian Open, a tournament won by Denmark’s Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen [above], who was already exempt along with runner-up Cameron Smith, the Champion Golfer of the Year in 2022.
