Bud Cauley, Jesper Svensson and Jackson Suber claimed the three Royal Birkdale qualifying places on offer at the RBC Canadian Open.
Cauley won in Ontario with a 17-under-par total of 263, finishing two shots clear of Matt Fitzpatrick. This represented the American’s first win on the PGA Tour and he will now play in golf’s original championship for the third time.
With Fitzpatrick and third-placed Viktor Hovland already exempt for The 154th Open, the remaining two qualifying places went to Svensson and Suber, who finished T4.
Three Birkdale places were available at the event, which was staged at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, as part of the Open Qualifying Series (OQS).
Svensson will appear in his third consecutive Open, having finished T16 at Royal Portrush in 2025, while Suber will make his Championship debut in Southport.
