Open de España presented by Madrid

Grant Forrest won the Open de España presented by Madrid, earning a place at The 155th Open at St Andrews.

One qualifying place was on offer at the DP World Tour event, which took place at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid from 8 to 11 October, as part of The Open Qualifying Series (OQS).

Forrest won the event by one stroke thanks to a clutch birdie on the final hole, finishing with a 14-under-par total of 270. The Scot will now make his third appearance at the Championship, and his first since 2018, when it returns to the home of golf in July.

Qualification for The 155th Open can be earned through a number of different pathways open to golfers across the globe. A full list of pathways and exemptions can be found here.
