The R&A brings back the e-Open giving online gamers the chance to win a trip to The 150th Open.

Following the success of the very first e-Open Tournament presented by Mastercard last year, The R&A has announced that gamers and golf fans from around the world will once again be able to test themselves against the challenge of the iconic links of Royal St George’s, as the virtual stroke play tournament returns.

The e-Open qualifying will take place at the host of the 149th Open, Royal St George’s, rendered on WGT by Topgolf from 12 July to 15 August, with knock-out rounds running from 17 to 19 August leading to a Grand Final showdown on 20 August.

The 149th Open will take place at Royal St George’s from Thursday 15 July to Sunday 18 July, giving players all the inspiration they need to take on the virtual challenge.

Players of all skill levels from beginners to advanced gamers can take part and will be powered by the WGT by Topgolf platform – the world’s most realistic free-to-play online golf game, which has been enjoyed worldwide by more than 28 million players.

Last year’s inaugural e-Open Tournament saw over 145,000 entries from 125 countries, with more than 1.1 million WGT rounds played.
