After its hugely successful staging in 2019, The Open returns to Royal Portrush in 2025. With home favourite Shane Lowry emerging triumphant at The 148th Open, there has been high demand for tickets as anticipation builds for another unforgettable Championship on the enchanting County Antrim coast in July 2025.

Ticket Ballot applications were open to all members of One Club, The R&A’s free-to-join digital membership platform, designed to bring golf fans closer to the game. Fans could also upgrade to One Club Advantage presented by Mastercard for an enhanced chance of success in the Ticket Ballot.

HOW IT WORKS

All tickets, including complimentary Junior and Carer tickets, must be applied for as part of the Ticket Ballot process and within the 4 ticket per day limit.

Following submission of a Ticket Ballot application, all fans received a confirmation email detailing their application. No amendments are possible following the closure of the application period.

Enhanced chance?

The Ticket Ballot selection is done randomly, although some may receive an enhanced chance of success.

Fans could elevate their experience through their Mastercard and upgrade to One Club Advantage to receive an enhanced chance in the Ticket Ballot for Royal Portrush. In recent years, fans who selected a Monday or Tuesday Practice Day ticket as part of their ballot application also had a better chance of attending The Open.
