The Ticket Ballot opens on Monday 6 July and closes on Friday 24 July 2026.

+ The ballot is the primary route for general admission tickets.

+ Applying for Practice Days may improve your chance of success.

+ Juniors go FREE* – 16 and under go free when accompanied by an adult.

*Free Junior tickets must be applied for in the Ticket Ballot.

Ticket prices for The 155th Open at St Andrews

Ballot results

Following the closure of the Ticket Ballot at 15:00 BST on Friday 24 July, applications for The 155th Open at St Andrews will be reviewed and fans will be contacted in waves throughout August and September.

All applicants will be notified by the end of September whether they have been successful or unsuccessful. Any ticket allocation offered must be purchased in full.

Making payment

Fans offered tickets for The 155th Open will be given a payment deadline and instructions on how to complete their purchase.

Each payment window will last up to seven days. If payment is not completed before the deadline, tickets will be forfeited and returned to the ballot for future waves. Fans can either purchase their full allocation or choose not to proceed.

Following payment, fans will receive a confirmation email. All tickets for The Open are digital and will be available to download closer to the Championship in July 2027. Please note tickets are non-refundable after 24 hours of purchase.

Accessibility provisions

The Open is committed to providing an enjoyable experience for all spectators. Fans who require the assistance of a carer can apply for one complimentary Carer ticket as part of their Ticket Ballot application, within the four tickets per day limit.
