Your dedicated parking will be located in the Pink C Car Park.
Your parking pass will be digital and distributed alongside your hospitality tickets in The Open Tickets app 4-6 weeks before the Championship.
Please have your digital pass ready for scanning upon entry to the car park.
Vehicles cannot be left overnight in the car park.
There will be a dedicated hospitality shuttle running continuously from Pink C to Gate 8 by the 1st fairway and Gate 12 by the 3rd hole. The shuttle is an approximate 5-10 minute ride to the gate. Ensure you enter the shuttle most suitable for your drop off location, closest to your hospitality suite. Please note that we would recommend using the dedicated shuttle to Gate 12 for all guests in the Origins Pavilion.
Should you wish to walk to the course, a walking route will be available to Gate 8 via the adjacent Pink B Car Park also. The walk to the entry gate from Pink B is approximately 500m, estimated 10-15 minutes walk.
A bag search will take place before boarding the shuttle to Gate 12. Should you walk, the bag search will take place by Gate 8.
Drop off and Pick Up is available in the Pink C Car Park, however if your driver is dropping you off and returning to pick you up, another check of your parking pass will be required upon entry.
Please note that if you are being picked up by a different driver or vehicle at the end of the day, you will require an additional parking pass to ensure smooth access to the car park.
A dedicated hospitality drop off and pick up area for taxi and private hire cars is located in Yellow C on Bushmills Road, opposite of the Royal Portrush Clubhouse. Guest using the taxi area should enter and exit via Gate 8, near the 1st fairway.
Portrush Train Station is located approximately 1km from the main spectator entrance to The 153rd Open. Please note that there will not be a shuttle service in operation from Portrush Train Station to the venue but an accessible shuttle for Blue Badge holders or international equivalent will be available from the station.
Rail timetables for the Championship week and ticket booking information are now available via the Translink website here.
Minibus and Coach Drop Off and Pick Up is available in the Yellow D Coach Pick Up/Drop off Area. If you intend to be dropped off by your coach or minibus for the day, a pass will be required. Your complimentary car parking passes can be swapped for a Yellow D Coach Pick Up/Drop off Area pass. Please note that this pass will be printed, not digital.
As this is a drop-off and pick up zone only, once guests have been dropped off, drivers will be directed to an appropriate parking area by parking staff which they can enter with the printed pass for Yellow D.
We would advise all guests based in the Origins Pavilion to use the Yellow D Coach Pick Up/Drop off Area if arriving in a larger vehicle.
Please contact Experiences@TheOpen.com as soon as possible to request a drop off pass if required a these passes will need to be sent to you in advance.

Please note that these passes can be swapped from your complimentary parking passes. 2 car park passes can be swapped for 1 minibus pass or 4 car park passes can be swapped for one coach pass. If you do not have enough passes to swap, you will need to purchase a permit. Please see the pricing guidelines below:

Tens of thousands of spectators are expected to attend throughout the week. To minimise road traffic congestion and reduce the Championship’s carbon footprint, The R&A is recommending that spectators consider the use of public transport, which will be significantly enhanced for travel convenience, or car share with others in their group. Those staying in the local area should consider active travel (walking, wheeling or cycling).
To assist with traffic management and reduce congestion in the vicinity of Portrush, temporary traffic regulations and parking restrictions will be introduced. These will be enforced by the Police Service of Northern Ireland in order to minimise disruption to local residents and businesses, assist traffic flow and increase safety and security for all road users.
