Justin Thomas pulled off a stunning second PGA Championship victory in 2022, coming from seven strokes back after 54 holes to beat Will Zalatoris in a three-hole play-off.

It was the third biggest last-day comeback in major history and the biggest since Paul Lawrie turned a 10-shot deficit into glory at The 128th Open in 1999.

Thomas reached world No.1 in 2018 after seven victories in two years, including his first major at the 2017 PGA. A runner-up finish at the Tour Championship a month later made him the $10million FedEx Cup winner and the year also saw him achieve a 59 with an eagle on the final hole at the Sony Open.

A 63 at the US Open, completed with another eagle, equalled the then major record and was the first nine-under-par round in the event’s history.

Thomas made his Ryder Cup debut in 2018, top-scoring for Jim Furyk’s side with four wins out of five. He was also their top-scorer in the Presidents Cup win the following year and won all his four games alongside Jordan Spieth in the 2022 match.

After a gap of almost three years Thomas achieved his 16th PGA Tour win at the RBC Heritage in April 2025.
