Located on the outskirts of Troon on the west coast of Scotland, Kilmarnock (Barassie) in Ayrshire has hosted Final Qualifying for The Open seven times.
It counts three-time Open Champion Sir Henry Cotton as one of its many winners around the links, while Louise Duncan won the Women’s Amateur Championship at the Barassie course in 2021, ahead of her star turn at the AIG Women’s Open later that summer.
The challenging links has also served as the venue for other high-profile events, such as the British Boys' Amateur Championship, the Scottish Amateur Championship and the Junior Open.
