Paul Lawrie gets The 150th Open under way

The 150th Open got under way on Thursday and there were some glorious photos taken on the Old Course at St Andrews.

Paul Lawrie got the action under way at 6:35am, the Champion Golfer of 1999 having the honour of the first shot, but the day belonged to Cameron Young, who was round in a bogey-free 64 to lead by two on eight under.

Rory McIlroy (66) and Cameron Smith (67) also shone to lead the chasing pack as record crowds flocked to the home of golf.
