Scottie Scheffler dominated the field to earn a stunning victory in The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush.

The world’s top ranked player surged to a four-shot triumph over closest challenger Harris English to win his first Claret Jug and his fourth major title.

Scheffler joined the pantheon of great Champion Golfers with a world class display which will be long remembered for its relentlessness, its talent and its efficiency.

It capped a record-breaking week which saw 278,000 fans descend on the County Antrim coast to watch the world’s best golfers competing on the biggest stage.
