Jeongwoo Ham qualified for Royal Birkdale, where he will make his Open debut this summer, after winning the Singapore Open presented by The Business Times in April.
The Korean claimed victory in the Asian Tour event after his 16-under-par total of 268 was enough to finish two shots clear of Australian Cameron John at Sentosa Golf Club.
With two Birkdale places on offer at the event as part of the Open Qualifying Series (OQS), John also punched his ticket to Southport where he too will play in golf’s original championship for the first time.
Victory in Singapore represented Ham’s first title on the Asian Tour, while he has also won four times on the Korean PGA Tour, most recently at the Golfzon-Toray Open in 2024.
