Kristoffer Reitan claimed his first PGA TOUR title at the Truist Championship in May.

The Norwegian won at Quail Hollow after recording a two-under-par final round of 69 to finish on 15-under, and two strokes clear of Rickie Fowler and Nicolai Højgaard. This came just two weeks after he and Kris Ventura came runner-up at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, missing out by one shot to Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick.

In 2025 Reitan enjoyed his breakout year on the DP World Tour, winning at the Soudal Open and then at the Nedbank Golf Challenge. He also enjoyed two runner-up finishes, and a further five top ten results during an impressive season.

Reitan made his first appearance at The Open in 2025, finishing T30 at Royal Portrush; and his consistency on the European circuit means that he has also qualified for The 154th Open, at Royal Birkdale in 2026.

Reitan is the same age as compatriot Viktor Hovland, and was successful with him in the 2014 Toyota Junior World Cup in Japan.

They were teammates again four years later at the Eisenhower Trophy world amateur team championship at Carton House in the Republic of Ireland, Norway finishing joint fifth in a week which saw twins Nicolai and Rasmus Hojgaard help Denmark to the title.

That came only a month after Hovland had become US Amateur champion and in the same year that Reitan was the first player from their country to qualify for the US Open.
