By attending Final Qualifying, you will be deemed to have accepted this Spectator Code of Conduct.

The R&A is committed to creating a safe and enjoyable experience for all competitors, spectators and ground staff attending Final Qualifying. If you fail to observe and abide by this Spectator Code of Conduct, or your behaviour is or could be considered to be, in The R&A’s opinion, dangerous, offensive, a nuisance or annoying to other persons at the event (including competitors), you may be removed from the Venue.

Spectators are encouraged to report any concerns, inappropriate behaviour, or safety issues.

CODE OF CONDUCT

1. Persons entering the Venue do so in acknowledgement of the general risks associated with the sport of golf, including the risk of injury arising from errant golf shots and risks related to attending an event on a golf course. You should be alert at all times to the golf being played in your vicinity, including warnings issued on the course (e.g. a warning shout of "Fore") and you should ensure that you wear footwear and clothing appropriate for weather and ground conditions. You agree that you are assuming all risk and danger arising from your attendance at Final Qualifying.

2. All persons attending Final Qualifying must comply with any and all instructions given by The R&A and remain in demarcated areas within the Venue.

3. All spectators are welcome to walk on the course, keeping to the sides of the fairways and semi rough. Spectators should position themselves in a safe place which does not interfere with play. Any persons entering restricted areas of the Venue, as delineated by a rope line or other similar means of demarcation, may be removed from the Venue.

4. All persons must (i) remain still and quiet when players address the golf ball, (ii) interact with players in a respectful and polite manner and (iii) not attempt to interrupt players during competitive play (e.g. by shouting, requesting autographs or engaging in distracting behaviour).

5. Persons are not guaranteed an uninterrupted and/or uninhibited view of play, and The R&A does not make any representation or warranty given as to the quality, content or duration of the event.

6. By attending Final Qualifying, you agree to being searched, including to prevent prohibited, suspicious or potentially dangerous or inappropriate items being brought in to the Venue. The R&A reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove you from Final Qualifying if you refuse to be searched.

Where you are the responsible adult accompanying a Junior and you are their parent or guardian, you consent to their image and likeness being taken and used in accordance with this paragraph. Where you are the responsible adult accompanying a Junior and you are not their parent or guardian, you must obtain the consent of the Junior's parent or guardian for images of such Junior to be taken and used according to this paragraph.
