The Open Qualifying Series Hong Kong

John Catlin won the Link Hong Kong Open in emphatic style to seal qualification for The 155th Open at St Andrews.

The American finished the week at Hong Kong Golf Club on 20-under-par, five shots clear of his closest challengers Matthew Cheung and Kalle Samooja.

The triumph represents his seventh win on the Asian Tour.

One St Andrews spot was on offer at the event as part of The Open Qualifying Series (OQS), and Catlin will now make his fifth Open appearance when it returns to the home of golf in July.

His best result at the Championship to date came at Royal Troon in 2024, when he ended the week T16.
