The Open Qualifying Series Italy

Eugenio Chacarra’s emphatic victory at the DS Automobiles 83° Open d'Italia brought with it a place at Royal Birkdale for The 154th Open.

The Spaniard claimed the one spot on offer at the event as part of the Open Qualifying Series (OQS).

Chacarra’s 24-under-par total of 260 saw him finish five strokes clear of closest challenger Matt Wallace. The victory was sealed with a superb final round of 64.

The triumph at Circolo Golf Torino represents his third title on the DP World Tour and follows his victory at the KLM Open earlier in June.

He will now make his Open debut in Southport this summer.
