For the first time ever, The R&A will stream live coverage of Final Qualifying as players compete across four venues to earn a place in The Open.

Fans will be able to watch the latter stages of the action from Dundonald Links, West Lancashire, Burnham & Berrow and Royal Cinque Ports live on The R&A YouTube channel on Tuesday 30 June.

A live Final Qualifying radio broadcast will again be available via The Open website and app from 4:30pm UK BST, with Gabbie Partington, Richard Boxall and Jamie Spence in the studio and reporters providing on-the-ground updates. At the same time, fans can watch the best action as the radio broadcast is accompanied by live video footage from all four venues.

A host of headline names are currently scheduled to tee it up this year. These include major champions Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia and Danny Willett, PGA TOUR winners Sahith Theegala, Thomas Detry and Marc Leishman and rising amateur stars Luke Poulter, Connor Graham and Richard Teder.

George and Wesley Bryan of the hugely popular Bryan Bros YouTube channel will also compete for places in The 154th Open, held at Royal Birkdale from 12 to 19 July.

In 2025 Final Qualifying was packed with gripping storylines and memorable moments – including Teder’s remarkable hole-out in a play-off at West Lancashire – and this year The R&A is enhancing its coverage so fans can enjoy even more of the drama.

In addition to the live YouTube live stream, live leaderboards and a live blog providing the best videos, images and updates will be available on TheOpen.com.

Fans can also follow The Open’s official social media channels including Facebook, Instagram and X for news and features across all four venues.

A total of 288 players will compete in Final Qualifying, with 20 places available in The 154th Open, and all draws are now available here.
