Regional Qualifying and Final Qualifying

Format

Regional Qualifying (RQ) for The 150th Open at St Andrews will be played at 13 venues across Great Britain and Ireland on Monday 20 June.

The venues for RQ are Alwoodley, Berwick-upon-Tweed (Goswick), Burhill (New), Caldy, County Louth, Fairhaven, Frilford Heath (Red), Kedleston Park, Minchinhampton (Composite Course), Moor Park (High), Northamptonshire County, Panmure and Rochester & Cobham Park.

Golfers entering RQ will compete over 18 holes of stroke play, with the leading finishers at each venue progressing to Final Qualifying (FQ) along with players who are already exempt.

A starting field of 288 players will compete in Final Qualifying events taking place at Fairmont St Andrews, Hollinwell, Prince’s and St Annes Old Links on Tuesday 28 June.

A minimum of 12 places in The 150th Open will be available at FQ.

Closing date: Thursday 26 May

Practice

Entrants will be permitted to book one complimentary practice round at their venue.

Regional Qualifying: Bookings are at the discretion of the host venues and must be made in advance. Further details relating to the booking procedure and availability will be published upon closing date.

Final Qualifying: Official practice Monday 27 June
